Mediation works well when both parties are willing to engage in good faith, though the level of willingness does not need to be equal at the outset. It is less appropriate in situations involving documented harm or a significant imbalance of power. Where a matter involves additional hearings, correspondence, or documentation beyond the standard scope, we discuss the additional costs transparently before any extra work begins.
